DC 18Very hard (tier-3 spell DC from a 20-stat caster)

Save-DC formula

  • Spell save DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + spellcasting ability modifier.
  • Trap save DC is set by the DM or printed in the trap entry.
  • Resistance to a damage type does NOT grant advantage on the save — only halves the damage on a failed save.
  • Legendary Resistance (3/day on most legendary creatures) auto-succeeds a save instead of rolling.
