Save-DC formula
- Spell save DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + spellcasting ability modifier.
- Trap save DC is set by the DM or printed in the trap entry.
- Resistance to a damage type does NOT grant advantage on the save — only halves the damage on a failed save.
- Legendary Resistance (3/day on most legendary creatures) auto-succeeds a save instead of rolling.
