Description
A flawless orb the size of a small melon, cool to the touch even in summer. While attuned, the user may cast scrying at will and, when scrying upon a creature, attempt to read the surface thoughts of the target as the spell detect thoughts. Conversations across continents become open books. Plots dissolve. Spies become unnecessary. Cities have fallen because a king's adviser glanced into one of these and never blinked again until rebellion's eve. The crystal is utterly inert until attuned, then warms gently like a held breath. Lesser scrying tools cannot trespass into the mind.
