Description
A glowing pale crystal, often a soft blue or silver hue, that orbits the bearer's head while attuned. While in flight around its bearer, it grants a small flat bonus to armor class regardless of armor worn beneath, stacking with most armor and shields. The bonus represents a near-invisible deflective field generated by the stone. Like all ioun stones, it can be snatched from the air by a determined enemy who may then claim its benefit. The stone is valuable across nearly all classes, particularly to lightly armored spellcasters and rogues who lack the heavier defenses of front-line warriors and need passive defensive boosts.
