Description
A subtly glowing gem that orbits its attuned bearer like other ioun stones. When held against a magical staff or similar item with a daily charge limit, it absorbs a single spell of up to fourth level cast into it. Later, the bearer may release that stored spell as their action, casting it without consuming a spell slot of their own. The stone can store one spell at a time and must be reloaded between uses. It is treasured by spellcasters as backup firepower or by magical assistants who carry insurance against catastrophic field encounters and unexpected enemy ambushes during long campaigns.
