Description
A heavy rust-colored iron sphere about the size of an apple, bound with thick interlocking metal hoops. The bearer hurls the sphere at a single large or smaller creature within sixty feet, speaking the command word in mid-throw. On a successful ranged attack, the sphere unfolds into magical iron bands that wrap and restrain the target completely, holding it in place until destroyed or freed by a strength check exceeding a high threshold. The bands cannot be used again until found and reassembled. The item is invaluable for capturing fugitives alive, neutralizing dangerous spellcasters, or temporarily disabling mounted foes during pivotal raids.
