Description
A hooded brass lantern with delicate filigreed shutters and a thick lens of cloudy crystal. Its flame burns steady regardless of wind, fed by ordinary oil. While lit, the lantern sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. Invisible creatures and objects within the bright light become visible while in that radius. The lantern's hood can be closed to suppress its glow without extinguishing the flame, allowing the bearer to advance in darkness and unhood it suddenly when ambushed by unseen foes. A single oil flask powers it for six hours.
