The Sun Blade functions as a magic longsword granting a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls, and dealing radiant damage instead of slashing. It deals an extra 1d8 radiant damage to undead and sheds bright light in a 15-foot radius and dim light for an additional 15 feet. The wielder can extend or suppress the blade as a bonus action. Even those without longsword proficiency are proficient with this weapon while attuned.
