Description
A circular sheet of black silk-like fabric, four feet across, that always lies impossibly flat. When unfurled on any solid surface, it transforms into a two-way portal to a random other world or plane, into which creatures and objects may step freely both ways. The portal remains until the cloth is folded or the destination's gravity, atmosphere, or wards interfere. The destination changes every time the well is opened, so repeated uses rarely reach the same world twice unless paired with sorcerous reinforcement. Folded carefully, the well fits in a satchel, allowing world-spanning escape, exile, or exploration in a single elegant motion.
