Ecology
Glabrezu are demon-princes of temptation, dwelling in the Abyss between the lemure-pits and the balor-fortresses. They feed on broken oaths, ruined relationships, and the slow rot of corrupted mortals. They are summoned to the Material Plane more often than most demons because their gift, granting wishes that destroy, is in constant demand among the foolish. Their lairs are scattered with the bones of the wishful and the contracts they forced into being.
Behaviour
Glabrezu are patient, cunning, and theatrical. They prefer to corrupt rather than kill, considering a damned soul worth a hundred dead bodies. They will wait years for a mark to mature, dropping subtle temptations into dreams and chance encounters. In combat they are brutish, four arms and pincers at odds with their political subtlety, but they treat violence as a failure of seduction rather than a goal.
Origin
Glabrezu evolved from manes that broke through the temptation-trials of the lower Abyss, ascending each time they damned a mortal soul. Their pincers are said to be the hands they used to write contracts in mortal lives, transformed by repetition. They are the first demons mortals meet when the path of greed becomes too steep to walk back, and the last lesson many learn before damnation.
