Description
The discarded horns of the rare Almiraj are rumored to have a great many alchemical properties, although very few have actually been documented. It is said that Almiraj horns lose their magic if they are cut from the animal, so to truly harness their magic one must forage for discarded horns in the wild. This has not stopped hunters from attempting to sell forcefully-removed horns, so prospective buyers should be careful that the horns they are purchasing are truly magical.
Properties
The horn has the following magical properties, although some scholars suspect there might be many more that are yet to be discovered:
- Reverse Petrification: Stabbing the horn into a creature that has been petrified will restore the creature to their original state. This destroys the horn.
- Purify Water: If the horn is left overnight in a body of water it renders a portion of it free from poison or disease as if it cast the Purify Food and Drink spell.
- Enhance Potion: Grinding the horn into a powder and adding it to a potion may enhance or alter the potion's effect (up to GM discretion).
- Transformative: If you somehow manage to affix the horn to the forehead of a normal rabbit for 24 hours without interruption, the rabbit will turn into an Almiraj.
