Description
This thick bluish sap, extracted from the root of an ashbark tree and purified over a fire, has long been prized by druids and woodsmen alike. If a vial of this liquid is poured down the throat of a corpse it delays the further decay of the body for 10 days and the corpse is barred from becoming undead.
Someone skilled in nature may attempt to extract and purify a vial themselves, but it is a long and dangerous process. Ashbark trees live only in highly volcanic areas and their roots absorb the sulfur in the soil; the sap is a potent acid in its raw form, dealing 2d4 acid damage to any creature that comes into contact with it. It is not hard to find a druid with scars on their hands from their younger days, before they learned to handle the unpurified sap properly.
