Ecology
Young green dragons inhabit dense forests, ancient woods, and overgrown ruins. They prefer terrain with thick canopy where they can hide while observing victims. They eat humanoids, deer, and forest-creatures; they especially relish elven flesh. Their poison breath and forest-cover give them tactical dominance. Their hoards are hidden among tree-root-tangles, often guarded by enthralled forest-creatures (charmed wolves, awakened-wolf-allies, dryads bargained with). They corrupt their forest gradually, twisting growth into thorny mazes.
Behaviour
Green dragons are the most cunning of chromatics. They prefer manipulation, intrigue, and slow corruption over direct violence. A young green spends decades building networks of charmed servants, spies, and informants in surrounding settlements. They speak Draconic, Common, Elvish, and Sylvan, lying fluently in all. They consider themselves intellectual elites among dragons, even dismissing more powerful chromatics as brute-tier. They scheme constantly against neighboring metallics, especially silver and gold dragons.
Origin
Green dragons descend from Tiamat, like other chromatics. They are considered Tiamat's poisoners and spies, the schemers who infiltrate enemy territory before reds and blues conquer it openly. Eggs hatch in forest-clearing nests, and parents teach manipulation, deception, and forest-survival from the start. By young-tier (around 120 years), a green has typically betrayed at least one parent or sibling for territorial advantage; this is considered normal achievement, not crime.
