Description
An aura radiates from you in a 30-foot Emanation for the duration. While in the aura, you and your allies have Resistance to Necrotic damage, and your Hit Point maximums can't be reduced. If an ally with 0 Hit Points starts its turn in the aura, that ally regains 1 Hit Point.

The Abjuration tradition is the spellcaster's defence cabinet. It is the school of warded doors, of wards over thresholds, of shields raised in the moment of the attack. Aura of Life reads as Abjuration the moment a player sees what it does — the spell ends, prevents, or absorbs an effect that would otherwise land. Mid-tier casters can usually cast Aura of Life once or twice per long rest.
Class Fit
- Cleric: Domain-bonus spells fill some of the Cleric's prep automatically; check whether the chosen Domain already grants Aura of Life before manual prepping. Note that Aura of Life requires concentration; switching to a second concentration spell ends it.
- Paladin: Channel Divinity is the Paladin's Action-cost competitor in encounter math; Aura of Life earns its slot when it complements rather than conflicts. Damage taken while concentrating on Aura of Life forces a Con save at DC 10 or half damage, whichever is higher.
