Necromancy is the school of life and death — draining vitality, raising corpses, and dealing with the threshold creatures shouldn't be at. It carries narrative weight even when the mechanics are mild; an NPC who sees the party casting Necromancy will react.

How to use Necromancy spells

How to use Necromancy spells: split the school in two — combat damage and corpse logistics. The combat lane (Vampiric Touch, Circle of Death, Finger of Death) is the school as damage. The logistics lane (Animate Dead, Create Undead, Speak with Dead, Raise Dead) is the school as utility.
