Description
You create a shadowy Medium door on a flat solid surface that you can see within range. This door can be opened and closed, and it leads to a demiplane that is an empty room 30 feet in each dimension, made of wood or stone (your choice). When the spell ends, the door vanishes, and any objects inside the demiplane remain there. Any creatures inside also remain unless they opt to be shunted through the door as it vanishes, landing with the Prone condition in the unoccupied spaces closest to the door's former space. Each time you cast this spell, you can create a new demiplane or connect the shadowy door to a demiplane you created with a previous casting of this spell. Additionally, if you know the nature and contents of a demiplane created by a casting of this spell by another creature, you can connect the shadowy door to that demiplane instead.

Doungim Lore
School Fit
Conjuration is the school of making something appear where nothing was. Summoned creatures, conjured objects, opened portals — every spell in the school changes the contents of a space. Demiplane is Conjuration because the spell places matter or creatures into the world that were not there before the cast. The 8th-level slot is the spellcaster's bank vault; Demiplane earns the cast or it doesn't.
Class Fit
- Sorcerer: Subtle Spell removes the verbal and somatic components; if Demiplane normally has both, Subtle lets the Sorcerer cast in chains or in a noble's parlor. 60 feet is enough range that Demiplane doesn't pull the caster forward.
- Warlock: Hexblade, Fiend, Genie, Archfey, Great Old One, Celestial, Undying, and Undead patrons each grant bonus spells. Check whether Demiplane is on the patron list before spending a known slot. At 60 feet, Demiplane stays usable from the caster's typical positioning.
- Wizard: Tier 3 and tier 4 Wizards add 5th-9th level spells to the book — Demiplane interacts with those upper-tier picks as part of a full prep loadout. The 60-foot range on Demiplane leaves room for the caster to stay in the back line.
