Bags of Shared Space

This pair of Bags of Holding have had their extradimensional spaces magically bound together. They function normally but they share a maximum capacity, and anything stowed in one bag can be retrieved from either, as long as both bags are on the same plane of existence. If the bags are on separate planes, they magically seal and can only be opened by rupturing the bag. If either bag is ruptured, both are permanently destroyed and the contents are scattered randomly between the locations of the two bags.

If either bag is placed inside a Bag of Holding or similar item, the catastrophic results are the same as listed in the description of the Bag of Holding. However, the results are more deadly if a Bag of Shared Space is placed inside its matched bag. When this happens, on top of the normal effects, the sheer impossibility of a bag being inside itself causes a momentary tear in reality. A brief but powerful explosion occurs in the Astral Plane centered on where the gate let out, dealing 4d10 force damage to all creatures within 20 feet and pushing each creature up to 20 feet away from the point of origin. Then, at the point where the explosion occurred, a Sphere of Annihilation appears.
