- Spellcasting Focus: You can use the diadem as a spellcasting focus.
- Freezing Touch: You learn the Chill Touch cantrip.
- Superior Darkvision: You gain Darkvision out to a range of 120 feet.
- Shadow Tongue: You learn two new languages: Shadar-Kai and Abyssal.
Active Benefits
While wearing the diadem you may use the diadem's charges to cast one of the following spells without expending a spell slot. The casting times and durations of the individual spells are still applicable.
- Form of the Raven (1 charge): You assume the form of a raven. Cast the Polymorph spell on yourself and become a Raven.
- Spreading Darkness (1 charge): You wreathe an area in the darkness of the Realm of Shadow. Cast the Darkness spell. When you cast the Darkness spell in this way, you can see through it as if it were only Lightly Obscured.
- Raven's Flight (2 charges): Shadowy raven wings form at your back. Cast the Fly spell. When the spell ends, the wings vanish into smoke.
- Queen of Death (3 charges): You shield a soul from death, at least for a moment. Cast the Death Ward spell.
- Grasping Shadows (4 charges): You summon shadowy tentacles from the ground that lash out at your enemies. Cast the Black Tentacles spell.
- Take Wing (4 charges): Transport yourself and your allies in a flurry of raven feathers. Cast the Teleportation Circle spell.
