This is the legendary dagger of Eldwinn Nomparibicklesnick, history's greatest thief. Its has an simple, unadorned hilt and a pitch-black blade that is speckled with white points of light that seem to remain fixed as the dagger is moved.
You have a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
The current owner of this dagger can summon it to their hand at will, as long as the dagger is on the same plane of existence as them.
Additional Properties
The dagger has 3 charges. As your action, you can spend a charge to do one of the following:
- Infiltrate Defenses: Slash the dagger through the air to cut a temporary hole in space, casting the Dimension Door spell.
- Find the Loot: Balance the dagger's hilt on your finger and cast the Locate Object spell. The dagger rotates so that its blade points the way towards the target, or remains motionless if the spell fails.
- Face of the Dead: Whisper the name of a Small or Medium humanoid you have killed with the dagger and cast the Alter Self spell to temporarily appear like them. Only the "Change Appearance" section of the spell applies and you cannot customize the appearance; you must look exactly as they did before you killed them. The dagger's list of potential targets resets when it is attuned; you can't transform into people killed by previous owners of the dagger.
