Description
A storm of fire appears within range. The area of the storm consists of up to ten 10-foot Cubes, which you arrange as you like. Each Cube must be contiguous with at least one other Cube. Each creature in the area makes a Dexterity saving throw, taking 7d10 Fire damage on a failed save or half as much damage on a successful one. Flammable objects in the area that aren't being worn or carried start burning.

Doungim Lore
School Fit
The Evocation tradition is the school of the visible spell. There is no subtle Cone of Cold; every Evocation cast is a public event. Fire Storm sits in Evocation because the spell focuses magical energy into a visible, immediate effect. At level 7, a single cast of Fire Storm can be the most important action of the adventuring day.
Class Fit
- Cleric: Life Domain Clerics value Fire Storm differently from War or Trickery Clerics; the Domain's identity shapes which spells become signature. 150 feet is enough range that Fire Storm doesn't pull the caster forward.
- Druid: Land Druids gain bonus circle spells by terrain; if Fire Storm is already on the chosen terrain list, save the manual prep slot for something else. The 150-foot range on Fire Storm leaves room for the caster to stay in the back line.
- Sorcerer: Draconic, Wild Magic, Aberrant Mind, Clockwork Soul, and Lunar Sorcerers each get subclass-bonus spells. If Fire Storm is already on the bonus list, save the known-spell budget. At 150 feet, Fire Storm stays usable from the caster's typical positioning.
