Evocation is the school of raw elemental energy. Fire, lightning, thunder, force, radiance, cold — Evocation builds spells around damage, light, and area effects. It's the school most players picture when they think 'wizard.'
How to use Evocation spells
How to use Evocation spells: position for the area. Fireball, Lightning Bolt, Wall of Fire, and Cone of Cold all benefit from setting up the geometry of the encounter so as many enemies as possible end up in the area. The school's weakness is friendly fire — almost every signature spell hits the caster's allies if they stand in the wrong place.
