Doungim Lore
School Fit
Fly is Transmutation — the school of change, here applied to a willing creature's movement. The target gets a flying speed of 60 feet for up to 10 minutes of concentration. Upcasting at 4+ targets one additional creature per slot level.
Class Fit
- Sorcerer: Sorcerers take Fly as one of their few known 3rd-level utility picks. Twinned Spell turns it into two-flying-allies for one slot, which is the canonical tier-2 reposition play.
- Warlock: Warlocks add Fly at level 5 onwards. Pact Magic's always-at-highest slot is wasted on Fly somewhat — the duration doesn't extend with slot level.
- Wizard: Wizards prep Fly from level 5 onwards in campaigns with verticality. The concentration cost limits combat use; out-of-combat travel is the main value.
