Description
You suggest a course of activity—described in no more than 25 words—to twelve or fewer creatures you can see within range that can hear and understand you. The suggestion must sound achievable and not involve anything that would obviously deal damage to any of the targets or their allies. For example, you could say, "Walk to the village down that road, and help the villagers there harvest crops until sunset." Or you could say, "Now is not the time for violence. Drop your weapons, and dance! Stop in an hour." Each target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or have the Charmed condition for the duration or until you or your allies deal damage to the target. Each Charmed target pursues the suggestion to the best of its ability. The suggested activity can continue for the entire duration, but if the suggested activity can be completed in a shorter time, the spell ends for a target upon completing it.

Doungim Lore
School Fit
The school of Enchantment is moral and uncomfortable. Its targets remember being charmed afterwards, and the table remembers the betrayal. The school tag on Mass Suggestion is earned by the target it actually affects — the spell rewrites a sentient creature's intent or perception. Level-6 slots are rare; Mass Suggestion earns its cast when the fight truly needs it.
Class Fit
- Bard: Bards take Mass Suggestion as one of their fixed picks; the trade-off is that swapping it later requires a level-up spell-swap or a downtime retraining session. The higher-level scaling on Mass Suggestion is described in the spell text; check it before upcasting.
- Sorcerer: Twin Spell turns single-target spells into two-target spells; if Mass Suggestion is single-target, Twin doubles its value. Mass Suggestion has an at-higher-levels rule; the spell's per-slot scaling makes upcasting worthwhile in the right context.
- Wizard: On a Wizard sheet, Mass Suggestion competes for prep slot with Misty Step, Counterspell, Shield (a Reaction always worth prepping), Fireball, Polymorph, and the higher-tier wall and force spells. Mass Suggestion scales when upcast — see the higher-level note on the spell page.
