What level 6 spells do

Level 6 D&D 5e spells unlock at character level 11. The 6th-level slot is one per day for most classes. Disintegrate, Heal, Chain Lightning, True Seeing, Mass Suggestion, Wall of Ice — these are tier-3 capstones.

How to pick level 6 spells: the slot is so rare that the spell needs to define the encounter. Disintegrate deletes a target outright; Mass Suggestion controls an army; Heal restores 70+ HP at a stroke. Pick the spell that solves the specific problem you expect.

Tier expectations at level 6 spells

Many level 6 spells are 'fire and forget' rather than concentration — that's deliberate. The slot is too precious to risk losing to a hit that breaks concentration.
