Doungim Lore
School Fit
Color Spray is Illusion — the school of false perception, here in the form of dazzling lights that blind the targeted creatures. No save; the spell blinds creatures whose current HP totals (lowest first) are less than the rolled effect of 6d10.
Class Fit
- Bard: For a Bard, Color Spray is best paired with another spell using the same target on the same turn — Bonus-Action plus Action layering is where the class wins fights.
- Sorcerer: Color Spray is the canonical level-1 Sorcerer 'remove a creature from the fight' pick. The HP cap is the limiting factor — past tier 1, most enemies exceed the spell's cap and aren't affected. Heightened Spell doesn't apply (no save).
- Wizard: Wizards take Color Spray as a level-1 alpha-strike spell. The spell's HP cap drops off quickly, so most Wizards retrain it out by level 5.
