School Fit
Divination magic competes with skill checks. Where Perception, Investigation, and Insight reach, a Divination spell can reach further. What makes Foresight Divination is the spell extracts a fragment of the near future. At level 9, Foresight is a tier-3-to-tier-4 commitment with one slot per day for most classes.
Class Fit
- Bard: Bards take Foresight as one of their fixed picks; the trade-off is that swapping it later requires a level-up spell-swap or a downtime retraining session.
- Druid: Druids consider Foresight against the Wild Shape baseline — every spell cast is a turn not spent transforming.
- Warlock: Tier 1 Warlocks have a single slot; tier 2 have two. Foresight only earns its known-spell slot if the build casts it most short rests.
- Wizard: Wizards add Foresight to the spellbook once and prepare it on the days that warrant it — a different decision from the class's known-spell competitors.
