Doungim Lore

School Fit

Abjuration magic is reactive. The spells trigger when something the caster does not want is already in motion, and their job is to interrupt or absorb it. What lands Pass without Trace here is straightforward — the spell ends, prevents, or absorbs an effect that would otherwise land. At level 2, Pass without Trace sits in the mid-tier slot competition.

Class Fit

  • Druid: Druids consider Pass without Trace against the Wild Shape baseline — every spell cast is a turn not spent transforming. Pass without Trace's concentration requirement makes it vulnerable to a single failed save when the caster takes damage.
  • Ranger: A Ranger picking Pass without Trace compares it against the class's bread-and-butter Hunter's Mark — the slot economy favors picks that work in more than one terrain. Concentration is the binding cost — Pass without Trace can't share a slot with another concentration spell.
