Description
This spell creates an Invisible, mindless, shapeless, Medium force that performs simple tasks at your command until the spell ends. The servant springs into existence in an unoccupied space on the ground within range. It has AC 10, 1 Hit Point, and a Strength of 2, and it can't attack. If it drops to 0 Hit Points, the spell ends. Once on each of your turns as a Bonus Action, you can mentally command the servant to move up to 15 feet and interact with an object. The servant can perform simple tasks that a human could do, such as fetching things, cleaning, mending, folding clothes, lighting fires, serving food, and pouring drinks. Once you give the command, the servant performs the task to the best of its ability until it completes the task, then waits for your next command. If you command the servant to perform a task that would move it more than 60 feet away from you, the spell ends.

School Fit
The Conjuration school is the architect's school. It changes terrain, places creatures, and reshapes the geography of a fight on cast. Unseen Servant sits among the Conjurations on the strength of the spell places matter or creatures into the world that were not there before the cast. Level-1 slots come back on every long rest; Unseen Servant is one of the spells the slot column fills first.
Class Fit
- Bard: College of Valor and College of Swords Bards lean toward melee — Unseen Servant earns its slot if it works inside or around weapon-attack turns. Unseen Servant reaches 60 feet, which lets the caster stay clear of the front line.
- Warlock: Tier 1 Warlocks have a single slot; tier 2 have two. Unseen Servant only earns its known-spell slot if the build casts it most short rests. 60 feet is enough range that Unseen Servant doesn't pull the caster forward.
- Wizard: At tier 1 Wizards have small prepared lists. Unseen Servant earns its place by either being always-relevant (Shield, Mage Armor) or by being the right answer to a known problem. The 60-foot range on Unseen Servant leaves room for the caster to stay in the back line.
Tactical play (Doungim editorial)
